Citizen audit movements improve their coordination

The International Citizen Audit Network (ICAN) has tremendous potential to bring together anti-debt campaigns in the global south and the anti-austerity social movements in the more industrialised countries. The anti-austerity movements could get access to some of the techniques developed by the southern anti-debt movements and their NGO supporters. And in return, they could re-inject some of the radicalism and social roots which the anti-debt movement has lost as the NGOs have moved in and in many countries now dominate the anti-debt agenda.
